Gender-Affirming Transgender Medicine at UConn Health

UConn Health’s transgender medicine team is devoted to providing compassionate, safe, and gender-affirming care to our diverse patients. This includes, but is not limited to, transgender, nonbinary, gender-fluid, or questioning. Our range of services is comprehensive, evidence-based, trauma-informed, and sensitive to your personal needs.

In our dedicated transgender medicine office, we partner with primary care and subspecialty providers to deliver a broad, full spectrum of care.

We conduct a thorough assessment of each patient to:

  • Establish a diagnosis of gender incongruence
  • Determine if gender affirming hormone therapy is appropriate
